17-02-11 First meeting

Today we had our first meeting. Group 1 and 2 had to make the traffic control. Group 3, 4 and 5 had to make the warehouse.

We started by presenting the ideas we had thought about the day before. I presented my idea for the traffic light. But we came up with a better design. At the place where route M1 and M2 meet, there will be a gate with a sonic sensor on. When a car from the factory approaches the gate, the sonic sensor will trigger the gate to open. A picture will be posted later this week.

Topics of our dissentions to traffic control:

• Sonic sensor on the gate above the line
• Surtain long distance from the factory to the gate
• Rough surface on the gate
• Cars should be able to drive backwards when something comes close

For deciding which tape to use, we decided to start with these standards:

• 5 cm wide black tape on white background
• Unique color mark at warehouse input, warehouse output, factory  and t-cross between M1 and M2
• Yellow   - warehouse input
• Blue      - warehouse output
• Green    - t-cross
• Red       - factory

General standards:

All human dissentions are made at the factory only

We should have a full closed system before adding wireless messages

At the factory the motors would stop, and the display would show a menu
